How to worship Ares

Short description

Ares is the God of war and conflict. He is raw force and fierce presence. He embodies bravery, passion, conflict and survival. Not only does he symbolise destruction, but rebuilding and peace aswell.

Symbolism

Lord Ares was often depicted in art alongside his helm and with his sacred animal, the serpent, and his two sons, Deimos and Phobus.

Prayer

This is meant as an example, not a rule or expectation

Hail Ares, shield-bearing son of Zeus. Great defender of Olympus, father of warlike Phobos and Deimos, leader of the righteous men. Mighty are you, whose power can make the strongest walls shake, and the fiercest warriors feel fear. Please hear my prayers and accept my offerings to you in gratitude for the strength and courage you give me. O blessed one, grant me the courage to abide the gentle laws of peace, shunning strife, hatred and the violence of war.
