How to worship Hephaestus

Short description

Hephaestus is the god of craftsmanship, fire, smiths, metalworking, ... He represents sacred craft and perseverance. Through fire and effort, he creates work admired by all the Theoi and mortals. He transforms pain into creation.

Symbolism

Hephaestus was often depicted in his workshop, with his hammer and tongs, or other smith tools. His sacred animal is the donkey, and his sacred plant the fennel.

O great Hephaestus, strong-handed inventor of the Gods. Mighty are you, born from great goddess Hera's will alone. I call to you, helper of mortals, lord of skilled design.
