How to worship Demeter

Short description

Demeter is the nurturing earth, the miracle of growth, grief and renewal. She guides us through the cycles of abundance and loss, always reminding us that care is sacred.

Symbolism

Demeter is often symbolised by her cornucopia and her bearing sheafs of wheat. Her sacred animals are the snake and pig. Her sacred plants are wheat, mint and poppy.

O rich-haired Demeter, reverend goddess, universal mother, blessed and divine. Lovely delightfull queen, by all desired. Mighty are you, who is nurse of all mortals, and who mothered lovely Persephone. I call to you, Goddess of seed, fruits and harvest. Please hear my prayers and accept my offerings to you in gratitude for you blessings, your kindness and benevolence. May you, Bright Goddess, bring peace, health and wealth into our lives.
