How to worship Hera

Short description

Hera is the queen of the Theoi. She is the goddess of marriage and protecter of married women. To me, she is devotion and loyalty. She watches over marriage, commitment, and bonds. She offers strength through endurance and love.

Symbolism

Hera is often depicted holding her royal sceptre. Her sacred animals are the peacock, cow, lion and the cuckoo. Her sacred plant is the pomegranate.

Great Hera, golden-throned queen bared by Rhea, wife of loud-thundering Zeus. Mighty are you, who watches over the sacred bond. I call to you, goddess Hera, famed almighty queen. Please hear my prayers and accept my offerings to you in gratitude for you blessings, your kindness and benevolence. May you grant us harmony to our homes, and may you bestow blessings upon those who honour you.
