How to worship Hermes
Short description
Hermes is the god of travellers, trade, thievery, herds, athletes and gymnasiums. He is the personal messenger of the Theoi, and the one who guides souls to the underworld. He walks between the worlds as a guide, trickster, and protector of travellers. He reminds us that wit, change and communication are divine acts.
Symbolism
The best way to recognise art of Hermes is by his winged sandals or his Caduceus. His sacred animals are the ram, hare and hawk. His sacred plants are the crocus and the strawberry tree.
